Percy Childs delivers

The Awards get through to Mlyn
How Percy Childs ensured the film makers' got their deserts ...
Still from 'Mlyn - The Mill'. Mlyn - The Mill won an International Medallion, the Wallace Heaton Cup for Photography and £100 from Fuji Photo Film UK for camerawork in the IAC International Competition.  The presentations would have taken place at the Movie 2002 Festival ... but there were two catches ...

The makers, Martin Lanik and Michal Pandula could not come over from the Czech Republic and our insurers do not permit IAC trophies to leave the UK.  So far as the cash was concerned sending it via the commercial banking system would leave little change after the many charges had been imposed.  The medal was fine, we could post that.

To the rescue came frequent festival visitor, Percy Childs.  He accepted the awards on behalf of the makers and arranged to be photographed with the cup so that the film makers could at least see the trophy they could not hold.

Fuji agreed to entrust the money to Percy.  He went out to the Ars Film Festival in Kromeritz, Czechia, exchanging the money together with his own at the best tourist rate.  He then arranged to hand over the medal, money and congratulations in the Grand Square, Kromeriz on Saturday 8th June.

How do you catch a tame rabbit? ... Tame way, unique up on it.
