This book dates back to the days before video jumped all over cine, and is billed as A complete guide to 8mm, Super 8, Single 8 and 16mm Movie Making.

This isn't really a full review - I'm not sure whether the book is still in print - but I have found this book a constant source of reference. Certainly when I was a keen film use I always found Lenny had the answer to any technical question here whether it was hyperfocal distance, sound equipment and techniques or camera movement.

He is a real enthusiast for his subject, and a good communicator too.

The only drawback is that it does not cover video, but my edition is dated 1979 so that would account for that! If you are starting out on the smaller film gauges this is essential reading.
