On 6th September 2008, after nine years, the Cotswold International Film & Video Festival came to an end.

Well beforehand the Festival Director, Lee Prescott, had announced his intention to retire from organising it.

There were hopes that a group of people with media interests would take on the event, but they have subsequently declined to do so.

IAC Chairman, Linda Gough, made a special presentation to Lee Prescott, thanking him for all his work for non-commercial film makers.

A handful of people had been tipped off in advance  and sent video greetings to Lee. These edited highlights from their messages were screened at the end of the festival awards ceremony.
