IAC Fellowships
Introduction

he highest honour the Institute can pay is to bestow its fellowship.  It is awarded to people who have made a special contribution to the amateur movie making scene.

To become a fellow the person must have been a full member for at least five years (though rare exceptions are made for those outside IAC who have made a distinguished contribution to amateur movie making).  Nominations are considered twice a year, the deadlines are 1st March and 30th September.  Nominations should be made in writing to the Fellowships Officer, c/o the IAC Office:

They are considered in confidence.

Until the beginning of 2003 fellowships were not announced until they were presented at either the spring IAC Festival or the autumn IAC Convention. Now, however, they are announced shortly after they have been agreed by national Council and are awarded at the following event.
