| The Northern 9.5mm Film Society
Formed in 2006 the Society is solely dedicated to the use and interest of
the first amateur film gauge 9.5mm.
We have a small but enthusiastic membership and have bimonthly meetings around
members homes on a rotation basis.
We are in production of a new narrative film at present being filmed on 9.5mm
film, and also have a keen interest in taking part in various 9.5mm film
events around the world including International film festivals. Two of our
members recently won the Scarborough International where the organisers had
so many entries the screenings had to be extended over 2 days!
Images are from the 9.5mm International Film Festival 2006. These include
Lee Mannering receiving first place for a film Truth is stranger than
Fiction in which Dracula takes us on a guided tour of Whitby, his
own home.
