This festival is organised by SCCA (Society of Canadian Cine Amateurs). It accepts movies up to 30 minutes long on VHS or DVD in PAL, NTSC and SECAM format.There are sections for Amateurs, Students, Film Students, and Independent Professionals.

They put the emphasis on the competition more than the public screening of the winners. Traditionally entries have to be in by the end of June, judging takes place in the Autumn and results are announced around the end of the year. The public screenings and award presentations take place in the early months of the following year.

The 2007 awards show is likely to take place in Stoney Creek, Ontario, probably in March. There may be two showings, one in Stoney Creek and one in Hamilton, Ontario.
