Arrangements and dates are similar each year.

Now over 43 years old this is the major festival for amateurs "down under", though anyone can enter.

Maximum length 30 minutes.

Enter your movie using the on-line entry form which can be found at the web site. The Melbourne International Movie Festival is only accepting entries which are deemed to be non-professional (refer to the website for details).Entry fee of 5 Australian Dollars. If you want your tape returned add a further 20 Australian dollars.

In addition to the overall winner there are awards for Documentary / Travelogue / Animation / General / Photoplay. Amateur entries only - no films partly or wholly sponsored. Most cine and amateur video formats accepted.
