Entry is free. They ask for DVD, DV, HDV or Blue Ray  entries.

Maximum length 5 minutes. The main theme is «Nature» in the broad sense of the term. Priority should be given to originality, rhythm and the scenario. The subject may be covered in the form of a documentary, an interview, a clip, etc. When you participate in the competition, show your interest in the environment and the respect of animals and plant life.

Some film makers might be concerned that the festival sells DVDs with collections of winning movies on them. This is made  clear in the rules which are available on their website in French and English. On the other hand the film director (and one person of their choice) who are nominated, are invited to the Award Ceremony with the costs of travel, accommodation and meals will be borne by the Festival organizers, departure from Bruxelles-Midi. (i.e. within Belgium.)

They say that a film director can be considered non-professional when incomes from their filming activities come to less than 50% of their total income.
