NORTH v SOUTH REPORT (2009 competition) - Grand Final

The theme for 2009 is Trapped

Picture of the hall. Around 60 people turned up to the Village Hall in Farnborough, Kent on Sunday 31st January for the Southern showing of the North v South Grand Final.

Apart from the 10 finalists, the other 9 films entered in the Northern heat were also shown and were well received. Our judges for the Final were Christine Williams and Malcolm Dickinson, both of whom work in the TV industry in the North of England.

As is usual at the Grand Final, we ran two audience competitions. Firstly, they were asked to match the judge’s top 5 films and secondly, to guess the theme of this year’s competition which was also decided by the judges. Nobody has ever guessed the theme in the past so it came as no surprise that the same thing happened this year. The winner of the Audience Vote Competition was Brenda Troughton of Spring Park Film Makers who correctly matched 4 of the 5 winners.

Here then are the results:-
