Closing : ???
Festival: ??

The organisers declared the 2012 edition would be the final one, but at the event in April there was discussion of re-starting it with a new team. As of mid-August we have no further news.

For many years it was an international Short Film Festival Berlin. It focused on films from West and East Europe. It aimed to help independent filmmakers meet each other and to promote understanding between eastern and western cultures. 2012 was the last year that it would be organised by Rainer Hässelbarth. We hope someone else will take on the job, but this just might be the last in this longstanding festival, which was formerly known as "Window to the East".

Films had to be non-commercial, amateur or student and no longer than 20 minutes. The festival's official language was German, though films that do not have too much English dialogue would usually be understood by most of the audience.

Entries accepted on miniDV and DVD.
