TWO FILMS BY GEORGE SENIOR - 1972-1975
This donation comes from an experienced maker who made these two movies on silent, clockwork 8mm cameras between 1972 and 1975, but have no fear, they are produced here in stereo sound on VHS! As one would expect, they are very much of their period, but it is also interesting to see what makers were doing at that time.
1. | THE RIDE OF THE VALKYRIES A woman (Gwen Eastwood) puts an LP of Wagner's The Ride of the Valkyries on the player; as she listens, she starts to fantasise. IAC Highly Commended. 1977; Ten Best Gold Star 1977 |

2. | MY FRIEND A schoolgirl, Jenny Cowley (Lindsey Clayton), a dairy farmer's daughter, goes to a local Agricultural Show, where she wins a Jersey calf in the raffle. The movie is the story of developments after that. There is some good use of music throughout. Ten Best Four Stars 1975; IAC Highly Commended. 1976 |
