MILLENNIUM COMPETITION       (Library ref no. 47)

This tape is a compilation of all 10 entries received for the special 'Millennium Competition' in 2000. The winner was shown at movie 2000 in Buxton, Derbyshire, in March.

Wakefield Movie Makers (West Yorks)
Members arranged to bury a time capsule, but at the ceremony there is an explosion and we go to Hell(!) and see Satan and his assistant keeping an eye on them via a computer. After some backchat, the assistant accidentally pushes the wrong button - how very human! ...

Local newscaster (Wendy Talbot), together with chief reporter Jim Knowit (Col Lamb), present another in Preston's series, 'PMM Globelink'. This time the main item is how the local Council is wasting money on a new project in the town; part of the item contains street 'interviews' with local residents.
