Film Competition for East Anglian Clubs

This annual competition for clubs in East Anglia began in 2009 with Lowestoft Cine & Camcorder Club, Colchester Film Makers Club and Cromwell Video Camera Club taking part.

The competition rules are:
1. The competition will be held in November each year (on a Saturday or Sunday for ease of travelling).
2. Participating clubs will take turns to host the competition.
3. The host club will organise a venue, set the start time and provide projection equipment and refreshments.
4. Each participating club will enter a programme of films, completed in the past 12 months, with a maximum running time of 15 Mins.
5. Each club's programme of films will be shown in the order specified. (There will be a short break between each film so that the judges can make notes.)
6. The sequence for screening the programmes will be decided by drawing lots at the start of the competition.
7. Each club to supply one judge. A judge will not be able to vote on his/her club's programme.
8. After all the entries have been screened the Judges will give comments on each film and on each programme.
9. The winner will be the club that in the opinion of the judges presents the best varied, entertaining and high-quality programme.
10. The winning club will be eligible to enter the following year.

There will be a trophy for the best programme and an award for the best film in the competition.

The 2010 competition will be held on 7th November 2010 at Lowestoft Cine & Camcorder Club in Sparrow Nest Gardens, Whapload Road, Lowestoft NR32 1XG.
