2. THE MAKING OF THE FILM 'ACCIDENT'
Alfons Hereu Ruax, FACI (Spain)
This is a movie about the making of the 1995 IAC Daily Mail Challenge Trophy- winner, awarded annually to the Best Amateur Entry. Shot in colour but intercut with black-and-white sections taken from the final version of Accident, this is an informative and fascinating look at the process of movie-making, especially when demonstrated by such winners as Jan Baca and Toni Garriga.

3. HOOKED ON WAX

A riveting documentary about Tracy Birch and how she designs and makes multi-striped, carved candles. A well-shot and edited movie, the candle-maker's own voice-over making an excellent and informative complement to the visuals.

A tightly-scripted and well-shot drama in a semi-documentary 'gritty' style, which tells how Michael (Aiden Waters) has problems once he gets involved in a criminal way of life. Good performances from the whole cast. Assistant director Ian Gamble.
