DIE MOLDAU (THE RIVER MOLDAU)
Bernard Hausberger & Alfred Oberkofler (Austria)
This is a visually beautiful movie about the river of the title (which also
inspired the Czech composer, Smetana), as it starts as a stream and develops
until it finally reaches, and flows into, the Danube. The music and the movie
also reflect aspects of Czech life and history through the ages. Well cut
to the music, this is a very attractive movie.

VÅRT HÅRLIGA LIV (THIS GLORIOUS LIFE)
Björn Engström (Sweden)
A naive young man (Richard Wiedenkeller) travels to his boring job each day
at the same time, by the same train, where he sees a collection of a wide
range of people - all doing the same! He also fantasises about a beautiful
girl (Linda Johnsson). However, this brief outline cannot do justice to the
quality of this movie, which is beautifully observed, wonderfully filmed
and brilliantly edited! Transfer from 16mm film. (English subtitles.)
