A second selection of award-winners in the IAC International Film & Video Competition 2002 premiered at movie 2002 held April 18-21 in Chesterfield, Derbyshire.

1. FROM SUNFLOWER TO OLIVE TREE (Vincent van Gogh and Provence)
Pat Menmuir (Perth, Scotland)
A short biography of the painter Vincent van Gogh, showing many of his paintings, during the period of his life in Provence. This has a lot of visual interest and a well-delivered commentary by Ian Anderson.
It won the top prize at the prestigious Czech ARSfilm Festival (2002)

4. THE MILLER OF REIGATE HILL

Dick, the miller (Malcolm Bridger), who always cheats his customers when he grinds their corn, eventually gets his just desserts from Stephan and Anthony (Joseph Mawle and Edward Woolrich), two students who have brought their corn, knowing full well the miller's reputation. Written and directed by Terence Patrick.

An excellently researched and highly informative documentary about how the Huddersfield narrow canal was restored. It took 27 years, by the way! Geoff Parkin makes a very good narrator.
