A documentary about the All Stars Youth Club, a boxing club located in a
deprived, inner city area. Its manager, Isola Akay, and champion boxers like
Gary Mason and Alan McKay, express their views about this tough and dangerous
sport.

Steven Thomas
A homage to the work of Ridley Scott, this is set in a futuristic,
post-apocalyptic world where military rulers struggle to quash rebel uprisings.
New recruit Alice Eden turns up for work at the army-style base and, together
with her 'babysitter', Gonzo, is immediately assigned to a dangerous,
fast-shooting expedition through the highly-radioactive industrial landscape.

REQUIEM FOR A BLUE PLANET
Leandro Blanco (Spain)
It is the year 2500. The sun is on a collision course with the Earth and
the last space- shuttle has left for the new motherland. The wild animals
that populate a small group of islands in the South Pacific are the only
creatures that remain to witness the last sunrise, a nightmarish scene in
which flames engulf both land and sea. Stunning images, superb special effects
and a fine music track written and performed by the maker himself.

England lighthouses he has looked after as keeper since 1956. Filmed at Pendeen
Lighthouse, Cornwall.

WORDS OF DECEPTION
Kristian Digby (Devon)
A powerful and moving autobiographical account about dyslexia which looks
back at how the 17-year-old maker was treated at school, particularly prior
to his diagnosis at 16. Excellent computer graphics and animation give a
taste of what it is like to be dyslexic - words, letters and numbers become
confused and, as the maker puts it, '. . .move and dance around on the page'.
