THE GAME
John Curran (Lancs)
Andrew Reid (played by an actor of the same name), ex-Army Parachute Regiment and Falkland Islands survivor, is now unemployed and hard up. He is approached by 'Blackjack' (Alan Titley), an international entrepreneur, who offers him £250,000 to take part in a 'game', in which he and an American rival would be taken to a large sealed-off area, be supplied with weaponry, and then hunt each other to the death. This is a most impressive debut by writer/director John Curran. It's a hugely ambitious thriller which will have you on the edge of your seats. Developed from an original idea by Andrew Reid.
