WILLIAM DUPP TO THE RESCUE
Apone Productions (Somerset)
Sgt William Dupp, who has retired from the police force very early, is asked
to do battle again with Alvin Lucifer. They have met previously, but William
only wishes to tend his garden without interference from anyone (including
his girlfriend). This is a tongue-in-cheek, but tense, adventure which also
looks at the need of people (especially movie audiences!) to have a hero
to look up to. Widescreen format; directed by Richard Jones.

THE FINAL TAKE
Nottingham Cine & Video Makers
A group of young film-makers is hard at work on their production, trying
desperately to get it right, despite certain problems they encounter! Not
quite how an IAC Club might go about it, of course, but there are laughs
along the way ... ! Written and directed by James Heppell.

DEMONS
Ken Wilson (West Yorks)
On the way home from a shopping trip, two friends (Carol Wilson and Yvonne
Crann) get caught up in a traffic jam and find a road off so that they can
make better progress. Without a map, however, they get lost. The driver
telephones her husband (Phillip Crann) from a callbox. Back on the road,
their troubles are not over - they get a puncture. The driver walks back
to the telephone, leaving her friend alone in the car ... The suspense is
well built, and the performances are all very natural, adding to the reality
of the situation. Written, shot and directed for Phase 4 Films.
