GOD'S NOT LETTING ANY STRANGERS INTO HEAVEN
Marcus Harrison (London)
A fascinating and humorous look at the soap-box exponents at Speakers' Corner
in London's Hyde Park. This really is a case of 'All human life is there'
- both in the 'orators' and in their respective audiences/ hecklers! Well
shot and edited to capture the marvellous atmosphere.

MY FRIEND WALTER
Oscar Riesel, LACI (London)
This was the last movie made by this multi-award-winner, who was born in
Vienna in 1924. When he was 14, his school-chum Walter and he both left Austria,
Oscar to England and Walter to Israel and never saw or heard from one another
again. Sixty years on, and Walter saw Oscar's name in a paper, so got in
touch; this movie is Oscar's autobiographical record of their get-together
in Israel, including archive material, with his own voice-over. A fitting
memory of an outstanding movie-maker.

UNEXPECTED HELP!
Jason Dainter (Herts)
A young boy (Fraser Ogilvie) has forgotten to do his homework and to tidy
his room. However, when he goes to school, some plasticine figures emerge
and do both for him! Neat animation by the 14-year-old maker for his first
movie; he also made the models and did the editing!

A very polished production, with excellent lighting, camera-work and sound,
everything makes a positive contribution, not least the leading lady's
performance. Produced and directed by Marco Marinelli. Widescreen format.

MOSCOW MEMORIES
Michael Gough, FACI (Sunderland)
Given its architecture and history, this must surely be one of the most
fascinating capitals in the world. With good photography, excellent choice
of music, plus an informative and well-delivered commentary, this movie creates
a strong impression of what it must be like. Indeed, after seeing so many
famous buildings and landmarks, together with the people, it makes one feel
that one should go and see for oneself!

A young man (Johan Bruyndonckx) leaves prison and is met by his girlfriend
(Daisy Naets). They get him some new clothes and the following day a group
of their biker friends takes them to a civil wedding ceremony, after which
comes a reception unlike any you've ever seen ... ! A most original idea,
beautifully executed, with excellent locations, camerawork, lighting and
editing combining to make an intriguing whole.
