This selection of entries in the 2004 competition was shown at BIAFF 2004
which was held in Harrogate 23rd - 25th April.(BIAFF = British International
Amateur Film Festival) the new title for our annual event known for the last
few years as "movie nn"). This is also the first library item to be released
on DVD.

Many people will remember a TV programme called Longitude (based on a famous
book) which dealt with the work of the 18th century inventor John Harrison.
This movie shows a modern engineer, Don Unwin, who wants to make a replica
of one of Harrison's chronometers, but for which he himself left no drawings.
This makes a fascinating movie.
