event report  |  Festival

At the closing date, 31st January 2013, there were 38 entries.

We are especially encouraged that we now see high quality entries from clubs who entered 3 years ago and used our advice to improve their sites. And as nearly three quarters of the clubs eligible to enter this competition have now done so hopefully it is helping to edge up the general quality of club websites.

Tony Colvile - Reading webmaster and Michael George - Bristol webmaster, (who shared last year's award) joined Peter Kidman and Dave Watterson assessing them all and prepared multi-page reports on each entry. They drew up the shortlist:

Ealing Film & Video Makers
Mercury Movue Makers www.mercurymoviemakers.com
Perth Film-makers Club
Staines Video Makers www.stainesvideo.co.uk
West Cheshire Video Club

Hearty congratulations to all the webmasters whose sites made it to the shortlist. All their websites are well  worth a visit - see what ideas you might find to enhance your own website ...

The four preliminary judges were joined by 2011 winner, Neil Cryer, and by the IAC webmaster, Jan Watterson for the final judging. The unanimous decision was that this year's champion is:

The banner for Staines Video Makers website.
Webmaster - John Clarke
