A further selection of assorted award-winners in the 2001 IAC International Film and Video Competition premiered at Movie 2001, held March 30 to April 1, 2001, in Bedford, Bedfordshire.
1. | AN IRISH MOMENT Willy Van der Linden (Belgium) This well-researched documentary is a brief history of Ireland over many centuries, with excellent camerawork and editing, complemented by appropriate music and a well-delivered narration by Colin Howett. IAC International Award 2001 |

3. | THE BIGGEST YET Huddersfield Video & Cine Club (Yorkshire) Another look at the village of Denby Dale, which has a history of making huge pies to celebrate various significant dates; the one here is, not surprisingly, the Millennium Pie! 5. | LA PRISONNIERE (THE FEMALE PRISONER) Franz Bardiaux (Belgium) Hélène (Magali Hanappe), whose father has recently died, is still under his influence. 6. | NARDO Douglas Boswell (Belgium) A hamster (Nardo) is rescued from a fire by one of the firemen, who then gives it (in a wooden cage) to a young boy (Maarten Adriaenssens) at the fire-station.
