BIAFF 2004 Awards Selection 1       (Library ref no. 24)

This selection of entries in the 2004 competition was shown at BIAFF 2004 which was held in Harrogate 23rd - 25th April.(BIAFF = British International Amateur Film Festival) the new title for our annual event known for the last few years as "movie nn").

1. SQUATTERS IN MY GARAGE
Barbara Darby (Kent)
A charming record of what happened when the title of this movie occurred, with a most appropriate commentary by the maker.

2. THE REPLICA
Ken Mills LRPS (Middlesex)
Many people will remember a TV programme called Longitude (based on a famous book) which dealt with the work of the 18th century inventor John Harrison. This movie shows a modern engineer, Don Unwin, who wants to make a replica of one of Harrison's chronometers, but for which he himself left no drawings. This makes a fascinating movie.
