DUST

by Larry Klobukowski (Australia)

This was Australia's first feature-length super 8, single-system sound film by a non-commercial film-maker. This is a study of the effect of adoption upon the 14-year-old adoptee himself, Matt (Paul Robinson), his parents (Val Wilson and Max Alvin), his natural family, his friends and officials in institutions. Using a classically fragmented style (all the pieces of the story fitting together at the end), this is a powerful, some might even say controversial, drama.

A 15-min. super 8 film extract is also available (lib. no: sup 211).
