NORTH v SOUTH FINALISTS 2003

The finals of this competition - originally founded by the late John Wright, FACI - are held between five finalists from the north of Britain and five from the south. This time the Set Theme was 'Unexpected Guests'.

When Steve (Cliff Beverley), the husband of Shirley (Doreen Bentley), has to go away unexpectedly for a meeting in Blackpool, Shirley decides to invite her secret lover (Graham Carter) for the night - but complications ensue ... !

A couple who still long for a child despite the inability for the husband's vasectomy to be reversed, decide to persevere by means of A.I.D. The wife later gets a visit from a young man, which turns out to lead to a lot of confusion... .! Directed by Alan Wood.
