2. | DEAD MAN'S CHEST From the title, you'll probably guess, me hearties, that this is a tale of treasure-trove - with a villainous Captain Herod (Nigel Peever, who also directs) holding his crew, including the cabin-boy Ben Dory (Matthew Watkins), to ransom so that he can have it all for himself. Costumes, swords and wigs all help the period (1787) atmosphere. Lots of fun! |

3. | S.E.T.I. These letters stand for Search for Extra-Terrestrial Intelligent life, and a team of workers, Stephanie (Alison Walters), Doyle (Nigel Peever) and Martin (Tyrone Williams), is employed at a tracking station 'to eavesdrop on millions of star systems, hoping to detect radio signals of an artificial origin'. This is their story ... Written and directed by Michael Walters. |

4. | SCARECROW A Granddad (Keith Noble) tells his two grandsons of how two lads, Martin (Matthew Watkins) and Danny (Richard Banbury), make a scarecrow, and what happens when it comes to life ... Nicely atmospheric. Written and directed by Nigel Peever. |

5. | REVENGE A young man, David Finch (Nigel Peever), arrives late for work (again) one morning, and within minutes the works generator, which is his responsibility, fails (again!). As a result, his boss sacks him instantly. The title tells what this movie is about ... |

6. | MAIDEN OF THE MOORS Bob (Tyrone Williams), a young man driving one night across the moors, believes he has knocked down a young woman (Alison Walters), but when he stops and gets out there is no trace of her. Despite this, he reports to the police what has happened. Later, in the pub, he thinks he sees her again. Who is she? And what is going on? Written and directed by Michael Walters. |

7. | DOSE OF FAULTS A postman (Nigel Peever) delivers the mail to one of the older residents in a block of flats (Peter Graham) who is on the point of writing a birthday-card. Having looked for a pen in a drawer, he also finds his medication and takes a dose, but gets the amount wrong. The postman, wanting to answer a call of nature, asks to use the man's loo. When he returns, he finds the resident slumped over the table with the partly written card, which seems to read like a suicide-note. He dials 999 for an ambulance and a paramedic (Simon Williams) arrives. A series of amusing misadventures then follows ... |

8. | FATHER'S CHRISTMAS Father (Nigel Peever) is 'caught in the act' on Christmas Eve, putting the presents round the tree, by his two daughters (Amanda and Samantha Banks), but is finally 'rescued' from his predicament ... This is a charming, unsentimental movie directed by Paul Humphrey. IAC Silver Seal 1998 Donated by Stoke Cine & Video Society. |
