We have booked a very good hotel - The Falcon - just a few minutes walk from
the town centre, the river and the Royal Shakespeare Theatre. It has retained
its Elizabethan style for its many bars, lounges and restaurants, but the bedrooms
are modern and have been fully refurbished.

It won't be a 'Shakespeare-themed' weekend, but there will be an optional backstage
tour of the Royal Shakespeare Theatre on the Friday afternoon. On Saturday,
you can visit the Motor Heritage Centre
(www.heritage-motor-centre.co.uk) -
one of Britain's largest collections of vehicles, and much more. This will be
followed by a short river / canal trip to see the sights of Stratford from a
different perspective.

There are also plenty of walking and coach tours available, from Anne Hathaway's
cottage and Shakespeare's birthplace to the butterfly farm and quirky museums.
You could even take in a play. The Falcon Hotel has plenty of free parking, and is also easy to get to by train, with the station being only a two-minute drive away. | ||||
| The weekend will include the usual Mermaid and Mini-Mermaid competitions on Sunday and, as a real treat, we will have a presentation by Bob Lorrimer, who will be showing some of his award-winning films. |

| And, of course, there's also the IAC's AGM on the Sunday.
